Build-Quant reads CAD drawings prepared for Architectural floor plan and RCC floor plan directly to work out the quantities. It works out quantities of brickwork, plaster, and flooring from the architectural plan drawing without entering dimensions in L-B-D format. It reads RCC plan drawing and works out quantities of concrete and reinforcement steel with additional input of design schedules for beams, slabs and columns.
The main objective of Build-Quant software is to work out the quantities directly from the working drawings. The software is a handy for quick estimation of quantities for tender works. If any of the dimensions taken at site are written wrongly in the measurement sheet of contractors, it is difficult to locate the mistake later. Since this software is reading the working drawings directly, it will prove to be very useful tool for cross checking of running bills.
